Our factory is situated within the Biyagama Export Processing Zone, close to the Colombo Port as well as Katunayaka Airport, to facilitate logistics. The factory consists of state of the art technology and meets with stringent quality requirements of Japanese as well as European and Asian customers. The initial product range included pickled gherkins, silver skin onions, tropical fruits and pepper. Our current production capacity is 36,600 MTs per annum and our range includes a wide range of fruit and vegetable products.
We have a semi processing plant located at Alawwa, in North Western Province, where gherkins and peppers are processed in vats and barrels for shipment to facilitate the collection and deployment of fruits and vegetables to our main production plant at Biyagama.
To expand capacity and encourage cultivation among our farmers, a similar processing plant is located at Padiyathlawa in the Ampara District. This processing plant is located close to growing areas, giving easy access to collect fresh products directly from farmers.
We also have greenhouse projects situated at different locations of the country to grow high yielding quality fruits and vegetables under controlled climatic conditions.
We have high recognition from leading universities in Sri Lanka for consultancy and innovations in processing and cultivation methods in order to find opportunities and collaborative product/technological developments according to global customer requirements. Currently, we are engaged in several research and development programmes under various disciplines in order to achieve high productivity.
